Provide instruction in percussion performance, including applied lessons, percussion ensemble, or related music courses as assigned.
Develop and deliver lesson plans, instructional materials, and performance exercises that enhance students' technical and musical abilities.Â
Evaluate and assess student progress through performances, assignments, and examinations.Â
Prepare students for recitals, concerts, juries, and other musical performances.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students pursuing studies in music and percussion performance.
Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports.
Utilize instructional technology and learning management systems (LMS) to support teaching and communication with students.
Support departmental concerts, rehearsals, and music program activities as appropriate.Â
Adhere to institutional policies, academic standards, and departmental guidelines.

- Master's degree in Music, Music Performance, Music Education, or closely related field from an accredited institution.Â
- Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in music or percussion-related coursework.
- 1 - 3 years of teaching experience at the college or university level.
