The Bellarmine University Music Department seeks applicants to serve as an Adjunct Faculty member in Applied Piano.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Teaching students applied piano lessons. The instructor will work with all registered students to find a day and time for their weekly piano lessons
Teach beginning and intermediate-level group piano to guide music majors through the process of completing piano proficiency
Teach private piano lessons to intermediate and advanced students, including music minors and elective students
Assist keyboard area director in preparing for end-of-semester piano juries, which will also serve as proficiency exams
Attend end-of-semester juries to serve on the faculty panel
Attend music department faculty meetings periodically throughout the academic year
Additional duties as assigned by keyboard area head, or department chair
The position may require some evening and weekend availability for student recitals and other performances.

Job Requirements:
Master's degree or higher in piano pedagogy
Demonstrated experience working in both private and group settings
A record of participation in music teaching organizations at the local and regional level
Commitment to teamwork and communication with colleagues
Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds, including beginner-level pianists
Preferred:
Doctorate in piano pedagogy, performance, or collaborative piano
Record of participation in music teaching organizations at the national level
Extensive knowledge of current trends in keyboard pedagogy, including classroom technology
