Teach PAT 220, Songwriting Workshop; Department of Performing Arts Technology (PAT, Fall term 2021 only.  

Duties:

• Teach PAT 220, Songwriting Workshop; create syllabus for class
• Coordinate course materials with the Chair of the PAT Department.
• Be available to promptly answer students' questions outside of class time by email and/or in person.
• Promptly grade assignments and return detailed feedback to students.
• Give students constructive feedback on creative songwriting projects; use U-M's learning management and administrative systems as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Professional songwriting experience and/or credits.
• Extensive musical performance experience as a guitarist, singer, and/or pianist.
• Possess a graduate degree in music or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with contemporary pop or electronic music styles.
• Experience with studio production and recording.
• Experience with artistic collaboration.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
