Marketing & Communications Director/Front of House Manager - Theatre Arts & Dance

| Marketing & Communications Specialist and Front of House Manager This position is responsible for the overall department marketing, public relations, and communications initiatives for the production, academic, and recruitment needs of Theatre Arts & Dance. Plan, budget, coordinate, manage, schedule, and implement all of the marketing and communications efforts including e-mail marketing, social media, advertising and direct mail. Responsible for strategy, implementation, tracking and assessment of marketing and communications activities, working closely with other staff. Responsible for direct supervision of all students in Marketing and House Management. Responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of all mainstage and donor events including staffing and working events as Front of House Manager. Work closely with production teams. Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications Management (50%)
Theatre and Dance Events Front of House Manager (40%)
Donor and Community Relations (10%)

Requirements: BA/BS degree plus two years professional experience or 6 years combined equivalent education and experience. Demonstrated and proven experience with Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, creating marketing campaigns. Demonstrated computer skills such as MS Office suite, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, GoogleCal, GoogleDrive, website creation and updates, listservs Front of House/House Manager experience. Must be able to work nights and weekends as event schedule dictates Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds Preferred: Demonstrated supervisory experience. Calendaring experience Budgeting experience Experience with media and donor relations. Professional photography experience Strong portfolio of successful projects and/or publications from previous professional experiences. Excellent written skills to include experience writing, positioning, and editing copy for both internal and external communications |
