SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:This position teaches applied music lessons, specifically guitar lessons, to students within RCBC's Music Department. The Applied Music: Guitar courses (2 credits) involve one-hour weekly private lessons/ instruction to align with 4-year institution requirements. Lessons are offered in person on RCBC's Mount Laurel Campus at a time mutually agreed upon by the student and instructor. Students registered for applied lessons are also expected to attend a performance class and to perform a final juried exam during finals week. This position may also teach guitar ensembles. Based on prior experience, credentials, availability, and interest the opportunity to teach other music coursework is a possibility.
