The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School seeks a full-time Student Services Coordinator to provide excellent customer service in support of our goals for our community music school.
As Student Services Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to place and steward new class inquires, monitor, and oversee existing private lesson student and class re-enrollments, and serve as the lead administrator for classes, recitals, and performances.
The ideal Student Services Coordinator is dependable, a strong communicator with excellent customer service and organization skills. You will need to become fluent in all programs, familiar with all faculty members and their specializations, and over time, build connections with all students, families and members of the Music School community. You will be joining a dynamic and supportive education team and faculty that is dedicated to creating great musical experiences and providing excellent educational programming. Monday thru Friday – 9am to 5 pm
September thru June
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday – 11am to 7pm
Friday – 9am to 4pm
Saturday – 8am to 5pm
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Provide timely, quality service and an excellent experience to our customers.
Implement and track strategies aimed to successfully steward all new class students.
Serve as lead administrator for returning/re-enrolling private lesson student registrations: Collect teacher availability, build teacher schedules, collect student availability, confirm student schedules, cross-coordinate with all education team members.
Oversee inquiries and placement in classes: provide class information to new and returning students, coordinate to determine best fit, oversee enrollment for new and returning class students, monitor class enrollment numbers and consolidate or adjust classes as needed.
Serve as lead administrator for classes: set up/construction of class schedules, coordinate and communicate with faculty, update website managers with class information, and provide hands-on assistance for in-session classes.
Coordinate and host student recitals and performances at the Carter Center: communicate with faculty & families, maintain and track data on performers and attendees, oversee and update calendars of events, coordinate room scheduling and preparation.
Assist with contact and communication regarding student withdrawals.
Strategize with the education team and marketing team to plan, implement and assess the execution of programmatic and enrollment goals.
Along with other education team members, serve as back up support personnel for front desk branch coverage.
Other responsibilities, projects or duties as required.

Salary - $37,000

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 4 years administrative experience
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
Detail oriented. Efficient and accurate data entry skills
