The University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK) is seeking a Director of Gift Planning at the University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc. The Director of Gift Planning is a key member of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's advancement team. The position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of planned gifts that will benefit colleges and units across the UTK campus. The position advises and collaborates with development staff from all colleges and units in the design of strategies and gift plans. The position will also provide information and assistance to estate and tax planning professionals (attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, stockbrokers, life insurance agents and bank trust officers) about UTK programs and funding needs. These professionals are the gatekeepers to the wealth of many donors and prospective donors. Their clients rely on them for their professional advice. It is important that planned giving professionals maintain cordial and professional relationships with these types of advisors.
At the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, the Foundation provides engagement opportunities for alumni through networking and community events and works hand-in-hand with the campus on their priorities to improve undergraduate and graduate education for more than 30,500 students and support for faculty and staff with over 900 programs of study.
