Assists in managing Box Office Operations for UT Arlington including building ticketing events, the distribution and sale of tickets, and supervision of ticket sellers for University and Non-University events at The College Park Center, Texas Hall, Irons Hall and other on-campus venues.
Recruits, employs, and gives administrative and on-site supervision and training to part-time box office staff. Prepares marketing and customer reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing ticket sales and customer data. Assists with large/special ticket sales events and event setup. Prepares daily deposits for box office sales and keeps detailed records of deposits and box office funds. Builds events in ticketing system for university and non-university clients. Fulfills special ticket orders for promoters and campus departments. Makes sure all orders have been paid and fulfilled. Prepares and maintains payroll and records for ticket sellers and part-time personnel. Writes event reports for box office operations. Provides tech support for various box office related devices.
Bachelor’s Degree. One (1) year of experience in box office, accounting, or business management work or equivalent experience. One (1) year of supervisory experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong computer skills, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, thorough understanding of house scaling, and general knowledge of ADA requirements as it pertains to ticketing. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. Great attention to detail. Experience in a sports arena/special events venue is a plus. Ability to oversee ticket sellers in a fast-paced environment.
