The Conservatory of Music at Oberlin College and Conservatory invites applications for a full-time Administrative and Professional Staff position as Conservatory Admissions Assistant Director of Recruitment Systems and Technology beginning in the 2021-22 academic year.
The Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, founded in 1865, is the nation’s oldest continuously operating conservatory, and the only major music school in the country linked with a preeminent liberal arts college. Students are enrolled in undergraduate programs leading to the Bachelor of Music in performance, composition, electronic and computer music, jazz, music history, and historical performance. The Conservatory also offers Performance and Artist Diplomas in performance areas, an Artist Diploma in Piano Technology, and a postgraduate program in Recording and Audio Production.
Reporting to the Director of Conservatory Admissions and Enrollment Management, the Conservatory Admissions Assistant Director of Recruitment Systems and Technology will join an experienced admissions team in the Conservatory of Music. This entry-level position will contribute to the overall recruitment efforts of Oberlin College and Conservatory by supporting all operational activities related to systems and technology, heavily utilizing the Admission CRM system SLATE.
Collaborate with the Conservatory SLATE Captain to develop and manage system needs for all admissions recruitment activities including on-campus visits, event registrations, audition scheduling, etc.
Manage and insure integrity of prospect and applicant data collection.
Recommend and assist in implementing improvements to meet end-user needs;
Create statistical/progress reports as needed during the recruitment and selection process; generate queries and reports for internal and external reporting.
Oversee training and use for faculty and staff.
Manage student payroll, support Chrome River expense reporting.
Oversee and manage updates to the Conservatory Admissions web site;
Employ best technologies to assist in print communication projects such as admit letter generation, mailing labels, etc. (Ex. Microsoft Office mail merge)
Collaborate with conservatory admissions marketing and communications lead on projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
