To skillfully plan, administer, organize, manage, and supervise live and virtual events that boost CDIs public Profile, brand reputation and overall marketing efforts; to consult with the Chair and Administrative Director on the Institutes seasonal programming, including events, student-facing opportunities, conferences and symposiums that reinforce the Institutes mission, values and curriculum; to assess and communicate the feasibility of those public programs and to successfully deliver them on time and on budget; to assess and manage the needs of third-party companies and clients related to event planning, and to regularly administer and negotiate agreements, contracts, and correspondences with those companies and clients; to consult with the Chair to seek, develop and nurture ongoing professional relationships between the Institute and other departments, schools, potential industry partners, as well as other creative industries; to supervise and ensure the quality and integrity of the Institutes visual marketing and social media presence; to foster development of the Institutes Alumni Association, and to manage it; to help administrate and manage the Institutes Advisory Board and other public-facing leadership initiatives.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 3+ years planning and executing special events or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years Related experience in an academic or non-profit/arts environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong customer service skills. Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas for clients. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of standard Office and Adobe software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of the music industry is preferred.
