Theatre Bay Area, one of the largest regional performing arts service organizations in the nation, seeks an enthusiastic applicant to join its management team as a full-time Programs Officer. The position will report to the organization’s Executive Director and work closely with other members of the TBA staff. This position is responsible for the day-to-day stewardship of the organization’s programs strategies and works to develop and advance TBA programs to ensure impact, inclusiveness, and effectiveness. This position will play a lead role in cross-functional and cross-departmental coordination to achieve TBA’s goals. 3-5 years of program management or equivalent experience preferred.
Deep knowledge of Bay Area theatre/dance/performing arts community with high interest in theatre.
Passion for customer service and program development.
Extremely detail-oriented and organized, proactive and professional with a good sense of humor.
Ability to work and communicate with a variety of people and diverse communities.
Extremely comfortable with technology: excellent computer skills and familiarity with PCs and MS Office.
Basic knowledge of principles of content management systems and email services.
Ability to complete data tracking, analysis, and budgeting with high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Training in equity, diversity, and inclusion preferred, and a passion for advancing EDI at TBA internally & externally.
Experience with grantmaking preferred.
Telecommuting is allowed.
