Temporary Part-Time Applied Flute Instructor Beginning Fall 2021

The Tell School of Music in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Millersville University welcomes applications for a part time, temporary instructor to teach applied flute lessons to music majors and minors. Additional responsibilities include ongoing professional/scholarly activity and service to the department and university. Other teaching responsibilities may include areas of expertise of the candidate or as needed by the department. Expectations include development and teaching of courses via distance education (online). The assignment may include evening and/or weekend classes and classes on and off the Millersville campus. Actual assignments will depend upon department needs. In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment. Faculty are expected, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement Article 4, to engage in professional responsibilities such as curriculum development and update; learning outcomes assessment for courses and programs; and participating in department, college, and university meetings and workshops.
