The wcfsymphony Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support for the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Artistic Director of the organization. The Executive Assistant serves as the first point of contact for all constituencies of wcfsymphony, providing excellent customer service, courtesy, efficiency and enthusiasm in all interactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains, updates and manages Raiser’s Edge database.
Maintains regular office hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and works at wcfsymphony concerts/events.
Acts as first point of contact and service for Board members, office visitors, patrons and parties seeking basic company information.
Performs clerical duties such as maintain files and organize/copy/collate/distribute documents.
Assists patrons with ticket orders, returns, donations, gift certificates and adjustments.
Plans, organizes and implements Board of Director events including committee meetings, board meetings and the annual retreat.
Prepares, distributes and maintains Board committee meeting notes.
Prepares reports, presentations, and data for the Board of Directors, Executive Director and Artistic Director, as assigned.
Assists with the Board Annual Fund fundraising.
Manages Executive Director schedule.
Arranges Executive Director and Artistic Director travel, accommodations, itineraries, and all correspondence related to such travel.
Acts as a liaison for the Executive Director and Artistic Director.
Schedules volunteers for wcfsymphony projects, concerts and ev
Manages and staffs the Concierge Table for wcfsymphony concerts and events.
Reviews media daily for wcfsymphony related items, including obituaries.
Assists with other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Business administration or related field bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior experience in mid- to senior-level administration, business, management, or related field.
High level computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Calendar), social media and website updates.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge database software strongly preferred.

About Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony is a professional orchestra located on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in Cedar Falls, IA. The orchestra performs in the beautiful Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at UNI and the Brown Derby Ballroom in Waterloo, IA. We are a per-service orchestra with an annual budget of approximately $500,000. Our Artistic Director and Conductor is Jason Weinberger.
