The Director of Catering & Events is responsible for promoting the Club’s facilities for private banquets, business and social meetings, club-hosted events, and other member-related activities. He/she is responsible for providing all aspects of booking member functions including pre-planning meetings, BEO creation, marketing/communications, event execution (with banquet department), billing and follow-up.

• Promotes, advertises, and markets the Club’s social event facilities and capabilities to members and sponsored guests.
• Coordinates and plans all private event and club functions including weddings, luncheons, meetings, dances, sporting events and holiday events. Plans the entire club activities calendar and coordinates all sporting event dates with sports professionals.
• Handles daily member inquiries regarding private room availability and bookings, as well as Club functions and sports events. 
• Works with the Club’s Executive Chef on menu planning, pricing and other details for private and club events. Suggests and helps members with menu planning for events.
• Helps members with parking, entertainment, decorations, audio-visual, floral and any other requirements integral for events.
• Communicates necessary information to housekeeping/maintenance, banquets, culinary and other departments involved with the events.
• Aids the Membership & Marketing Director with marketing efforts of Club events.
• Distributes the weekly packet of event orders and event changes and holds weekly event order meetings with department head staff.
• Creates event details such as menu cards, decorations, seating charts.
• Responsible for weekly linen inventory and ordering.
• Oversees Banquet Manager and all event execution.
• Responsible for overseeing banquet staff training programs and administration of those programs.
• Develops operating and capital budgets with a particular emphasis on all banquet and entertainment expenses.
• Creates pre-event and post event profit and loss statements and is responsible for event financials.

**The Club’s current Catering & Events Director has been at the Club for four years and will be relocating at the end of 2021. The new candidate will spend the first six months rotating through all food and beverage departments, with a particular emphasis on banquet operations, to gain a thorough understanding of all Club areas. The candidate will transition to the Director position with full responsibilities toward the end of 2021. This position is available starting April 1, 2021.
