Internal Job Number: P03737UF Description: The School of Arts and Communication invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2020-2021 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director. Instructors may be needed to teach undergraduate courses on-campus or through eCampus in the areas of Theatre Arts such as: oral interpretation, acting, directing, scene or costume design, technical theatre, etc. The primary mission of Speech Communication at OSU is undergraduate and graduate education. Students may seek BA and BS degrees in communication as well as minors in that area. Speech Communication participates in the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies graduate program. Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty): Typically requires Master’s degree in discipline appropriate to the field of teaching/instructional tasks. Requirements : MA or MS in Theatre Arts or closely related fields. Teaching experience at the college or university level. Evident commitment to educational equity.
