Assistant or Associate Professor of Music and Director of Maryland Opera Studio
The University of Maryland School of Music invites applications for the position of Director of the Maryland Opera Studio. The successful candidate will conduct at least one full opera production per year; provide vocal coaching for the MOS students; teach classes specific to their areas of expertise; set policies and procedures for MOS in collaboration with other MOS faculty in consultation with colleagues across the School of Music; oversee the MOS curriculum in collaboration with other faculty; choose repertoire for productions, scenes, new readings, concerts in collaboration with faculty of the Voice/Opera Division and the School of Music; collaborate with faculty of the Voice/Opera Division on MOS admissions decisions and recruitment of students; mentor and engage MOS, conducting a
