Job Description
Under the leadership of the Dean and academic leaders, all the faculty members of the School of Music will work together with an international faculty team to provide outstanding teaching and practical services for all disciplines.
1. Completing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching tasks according to the approved syllabus;
2. Offering accompaniment service and guidance for Division of Strings, Wind Brass, and Percussion;
3. Offering accompaniment services for school/division concerts and other activities.
Qualification Requirements
1. Having possessing solid professional skills in piano accompaniment/performance;
2. Teaching experience in conservatories/universities is preferred;
3. Familiarity with various specialized repertoire types and ability to perform a variety of forms and styles of piano accompaniment;
4. Having strong teaching and communication skills, good professionalism, excellent English and Chinese communication skills;
5. Having a good sense of responsibility, patience, and caring for the growth and development of students;
6. Related master's degree or above.

In late 2018, the Government of Shenzhen, to strengthen its cultural self-confidence, benchmarked international top cities and focused on future development of the city. Aiming to build a batch of landmark facilities with international first-level standard and city image, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was given the responsibility to plan and establish the Shenzhen Conservatory of Music, initially as a School of the University.The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was established in 2014 in accordance with the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools upon approval of the Ministry of Education. It inherits the educational philosophy and academic systems of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is committed to nurturing high-end talents with global perspective, Chinese tradition and social responsibility. It would enroll students from all over the world and offer 4-year undergraduate programmes plus postgraduate studies at both master and doctorate levels. Currently with over 10000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, CUHK-Shenzhen offers programmes in science and engineering, management and economics..., humanities and social science, data science, medicine, and music (from 2021 onwards). Most of the courses in CUHK-Shenzhen are taught in English.The School of Music is located in the International University Park in Longgang District, Shenzhen, adjacent to the current campus of CUHK-Shenzhen. The total site area is about 73,800 square meters, the total construction area is about 129,700 square meters, and the total investment is about 1.59 billion yuan. The School has completed the planning of the campus with the design concept of keeping pace with the times and pursuing excellence. The campus is under construction with facilities including the opera house, concert hall and music technology center, etc.Currently, the School of Music offers undergraduate programs in music performance, musicology, music composition and theory, and postgraduate program in music performance, music composition and theory. In the future, the School of Music plans to offer undergraduate programs in dance performance, Chinese instruments performance and postgraduate programs in art management, dance performance, Chinese instruments performance and more. Classes are taught in both Chinese and English, and other languages such as Italian and German.
