Nestled in the heart of Nevada's capital, and only 15 minutes away from gorgeous Lake Tahoe, the Carson City School District serves approximately 7,600 students across a network of 6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools (one alternative and one comprehensive). Role Overview
We’re looking for two passionate and dynamic Elementary Music Teachers to bring the joy of music to life at Bordewich Bray Elementary and Empire Elementary. In this role, you’ll nurture the next generation of musicians by delivering engaging, inclusive, and standards-based music instruction to students in grades K–5/6.
You’ll inspire creativity through general music education, foster performance skills, and help build community through school-wide musical events and concerts.
What You’ll Do
Plan and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with state standards for elementary students.
Introduce students to music theory, rhythm, vocal performance, instruments, and movement.
Cultivate students’ appreciation for music through exposure to diverse genres and cultures.
Organize and lead musical performances, concerts, and other school-based events.
Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives.
Monitor and assess student growth in music knowledge and performance.
