We’re looking for a passionate and experienced video production leader to join the Digital Media Department of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center—a cross-functional group dedicated to creating the world’s premiere digital chamber music society. Reporting to the Director of Digital Media, you will lead external and internal teams to create visual and audio content tailor-made for classical music listeners at every step of their journey.
Your role ensures that all content is of the highest standard, both visually and editorially. You will head our video department, developing, capturing, and publishing concerts, livestreams, social media assets, podcasts, and other forms of digital content. Working closely with the Director of Digital Media, you will find innovative ways to share our passion for chamber music. Content must run smoothly, stay on brand, and within budget. Ultimately, you’ll be a key part of a team reimagining the way the story of chamber music is told online.
This is a hybrid strategic-and-operational role with an internal and external team. The right candidate will feel just as confident calling a multi-camera livestream as they do organizing a shared server or uploading video assets to Brightcove.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the full lifecycle of video production for concerts, livestreams, social clips, and branded assets, including planning, capture, post-production, and publication.
Oversee in-studio livestreams and concert shoots, managing technical infrastructure (signal flow, routing organization, patching), and camera direction.
Develop and maintain team workflows and production calendars to ensure clear scheduling, accountability, and transparency across projects.
Hire and manage contractors and production vendors, negotiating bids and ensuring all work stays on time, on brand, and within budget. Manage an in-house Digital Content Manager (producer/editor) as a direct report.
Oversee the organization and upkeep of CMS’s video archive, ensuring all assets are properly tagged, versioned, and accessible; manage the ingestion of new content, coordinate with other departments for access, and maintain long-term storage systems.
Supervise the creation and upkeep of the CMS Radio Program and Internal Gallery uploads, ensuring content quality and timely release.
Serve as a first responder to cross-departmental video needs from Development, Marketing, Education, and Artistic Production & Planning, including asset pulls and quick-turn edits.
Maintain file systems and storage: oversee asset tagging, Brightcove uploads, server organization, metadata standards, and internal access documentation.
Compile analytics across platforms and maintain departmental budget tracking; contribute to forecasting and strategic planning.
Uphold brand standards and legal compliance across all video assets, from major shoots to social content; manage interdepartmental approvals and post templates.
Who You Are:
You have a minimum of five to seven years at a leading digital video operation creating wide-reaching content.
You are passionate about classical music, particularly chamber music, and have a working knowledge of music history and terminology. While the ability to read music is not required, it’s a valuable skill that would support aspects of this role.
You have an intuitive knowledge of video production's technical aspects, including current cameras, gear, specifications, and post-production workflows.
You have experience operating a TriCaster or comparable gear.
You excel at delivering complex production projects on tight deadlines.
You have demonstrable experience managing multiple production budgets and successfully executing content projects across various video formats.
You are a thoughtful and collaborative manager, capable of guiding teams with clarity, empathy, and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time position, working from the CMS offices on the Lincoln Center campus, with a salary range of $70,000- $75,000.
CMS offers competitive compensation that includes an excellent health insurance plan, dental and vision benefits, retirement plan, vacation, and generous paid time off.
