About the Position:
The Adjunct Applied Viola Professor will teach individualized lessons, starting August 25, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Applied Viola during daytime hours on campus;
- Provide leadership to Mason?s Viola Studio to include coordination of studio classes as well as on-campus and off-campus performances and events;
- Coordinate recruitment for the Viola Studio;
- Coordinate recitals and juries for the Viola Studio; and
- Participate in the Strings Area initiatives, including performances, faculty recitals, auditions, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Master?s Degree in Music required;
- Successful experience teaching at the college level;
- Desire to work with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds; and
- Established reputation as a Violist including live performances and recordings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Music.
