GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction to students in Modern Dance (DAN120) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:45 PM during the 2025 Spring semester (January 21-May 16, 2025). This course provides students with a fundamental knowledge of modern dance techniques and composition. Participation in dance exercises, observation, and discussion of various modern dance styles enables students to develop a physical awareness and understanding of modern dance. Emphasis is placed on participation.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Provide instruction in modern dance techniques.
Track and assess student progress.
Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
Collaborate with performing arts faculty.
Participate in ongoing professional development.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in a Performing Arts-related field (completed or in progress) or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in dance instruction.
Experience teaching a diverse student body, preferably at the community college level.
Demonstrated effectiveness fostering an inclusive, equity-focused learning environment.
Effective pedagogical, communication, and presentation skills.
Skill in using technology to support the teaching, learning, and administrative processes.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
