NYU Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions (MPAP) Music Technology Program seeks qualified candidates to teach "Music Literature of the 20th Century: Sound, Music, Technology (1900-Present)." This course tells the stories of composers, inventors, & entrepreneurs who opened music up to electronic instruments, new sounds, & new ideas of composition between 1900 & the beginning of the 21st century. This course will also define a starting point for ongoing innovation in sound design, composition, & the creation of new musical instruments. Various works will be analyzed and new works created with students for insight into the creative process as applied to interactive media.
