The Department of Music at Princeton University may have an occasional curricular need for semester-long, renewable, non-tenure-track lecturer positions to teach or co-teach courses and/or lead ensembles during the 2025-2026 academic year, and accepts applications in advance in the event the occasion arises where such lecturers are needed. Areas of study/practice may include electronic music, music production, music theory, music history, jazz tradition, musicology, repertoire, and more.
An advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. Experience teaching undergraduate (A.B. or B.M.) level strongly preferred.
The expected start dates would be September 1, 2025 or January 16, 2026 for any available work; any appointments are subject to enrollments and may be for one or two semesters during the 2025-2026 academic year, with the potential for renewal depending on departmental need.

Expected Salary Range: $81,700 - $86,000
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
