New York University (NYU) Berlin is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach a seminar on research and cultural criticism for the fall 2025 semester. This two-credit seminar affords undergraduate students an opportunity to explore and refine their research interests and take initial steps to conduct research while studying away. This course is open to students from all disciplines. The goal of this research seminar is to train students in analyzing social phenomena, both contemporary and historical, from critical perspectives and in various writing styles, from classical essays to art criticism, to multimedia and internet-based practices. Field trips to local museums, theaters, off-spaces and/or self-organized initiatives are part of the seminar.
