Lecturer - Jazz Studies
The State University of New York at Fredonia invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Jazz Studies. This position requires demonstrated excellence in jazz performance, pedagogy, and scholarship, with the ability to inspire and mentor students across a range of musical styles. Core responsibilities include designing and teaching undergraduate courses in jazz history, jazz theory, improvisation, jazz composition, and arranging. The successful candidate will also teach applied lessons in jazz and improvisation, direct jazz combos and/or large ensembles, and lead jazz recital seminars. Additionally, the successful candidate will participate in the Fredonia Jazz Faculty Collective?a collaborative faculty ensemble that rehearses regularly, performs on campus and in the region,
