FLSA: This position is full time, exempt, working 40+ hours per week; 70% homebase work and 30% travel for productions/concerts.
This position works closely with Steve Hackman, SHP Executive Producer, wider management team, external social media, and creative/branding teams.
Salary range is between $100,000-$120,000 yearly, depending on experience.

Steve Hackman is a multi-talented composer, conductor, and producer who is pioneering a new genre of music by elegantly and virtuosically combining classical with popular, ranging from rock and pop to EDM and hip-hop. His orchestral fusion productions known as SYMPHONYFUSE (such as Brahms X Radiohead, Tchaikovsky X Drake and Beethoven X Beyoncé) have garnered widespread acclaim in the classical music world, captivating audiences, consistently achieving high attendance rates and introducing new listeners to orchestral music. His underground original music productions, known as THE BRINK, are gaining momentum as a must-see phenomenon in Los Angeles, attracting influential figures from the entertainment industry and generating anticipation for a global impact. Finally, his collaborative work with artists ranging from Charlie Puth to Doja Cat to Steve Lacy, whether in the studio, in the live space or at marquee events like the Emmy and Academy Awards, is adding to the narrative of SH as an exciting and compelling new voice in the musical landscape. POSITION SUMMARY:
This new position within SHP is responsible for building and growing the relationship between Steve Hackman and his current and future audiences, whether those be online or in-person, and whether driven via his recorded music, live performances, or through social media. Today’s audiences have multiple touch points with artists; the Consumer Marketing Manager sits at the center of strategy, ideation and implementation for campaigns, messaging and relationship-building across all those multiple touch points.
Key focus areas of this position are: digital marketing; audience retention and acquisition; content creation and strategic deployment; and brand strategy and implementation. Together with the Executive Producer of SHP, this position will also examine new revenue sources and other creative opportunities sitting at the intersection of audience experience and technology.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Strategic Marketing and Audience Development
Target Audience Identification & Segmentation: Deeply understands and can segment potential audiences for SH productions, projects and recordings, (e.g. classical enthusiasts, pop music fans, soundtrack lovers, event-goers). Tailors messaging accordingly.
Market Research & Analysis: Proficient in conducting market research to identify trends, understand audience preferences, and analyze competitor activities within the classical and crossover/fusion music landscapes.
Strategic Planning & Goal Setting: Develops and executes comprehensive marketing strategies with clear, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) objectives focused on audience growth and engagement.
New Revenue Sources: Implements opportunities from merchandise, VIP experiences, commercialized music and other new projects to grow new revenue streams and build additional direct relationships with new and existing audiences.
Understanding the Music Landscape: Possesses a strong understanding of both classical and popular music genres, including key players, trends, and audience behaviors within each.
Digital Marketing & Engagement:
Digital Marketing Expertise: Proficient in utilizing various digital channels, including social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and paid digital advertising.
Content Marketing & Creation: Oversees the development of engaging and diverse content (videos, audio clips, behind-the-scenes glimpses) that showcases the artist's work and personality, attracting and retaining audience interest.
Social Media Management: Strategically manages social media presence, fostering community engagement, running targeted campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics.
Website Management & Optimization: Oversees the artist's website, ensuring it is user-friendly, informative, optimized for search engines, and serves as a central hub for information and engagement.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Tracks, analyzes, and reports on marketing campaign performance, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve results.
III: Creative Brand Management:
Storytelling: Develops a unique storytelling arc that communicates the vision and breadth of Steve Hackman’s artistry through short and long form content.
Brand Building & Positioning: Defines and articulates SH’s unique artistic brand, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all platforms to resonate with target audiences.
Content Creation: Leads on building a current and diverse range of content, inspired by Steve’s music and the brand guide, to feed all needs for visual and audio content, including photo shoots, video capture at recording sessions and concerts and other projects during the performance year.
Asset Management: Ensures all content is up to date and readily accessible to key partners, to ensure SH brand is vibrant, consistent and driving towards audience engagement.
Brand Partnerships: Working with Executive Producer and Steve Hackman, develops ideas and relationships for brand partnerships and other audience-revenue growth opportunities, in alignment with SH’s brand values and goals.
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication: Crafts compelling marketing copy, press releases, and social media updates that effectively communicate the artist's value proposition.
Public Relations & Media Outreach: As campaigns dictate, work with external publicists to secure press coverage and interviews.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Works effectively with SH, Executive Producer of SHP, and the broader management team to ensure alignment and maximize marketing impact.
Networking & Relationship Building: Builds relationships with industry professionals, influencers, and potential partners to expand reach and create new opportunities.
Business Acumen & Project Management:
Budget Management: Develops and effectively manages marketing budgets, including advertising spends, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and a strong return on investment.
Project Management Skills: Organizes and executes marketing campaigns and projects on time and within budget, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Understanding of Music Industry Business Models: Familiarity with music publishing, licensing, touring, and other revenue streams relevant to a performing artist.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 8+ years experience in music industry marketing departments, whether at a label, promoter, venue, or in the performing arts
Possess a successful track record of driving consumer engagement, audience retention and growth across various sectors of the music industry
Demonstrated knowledge of current digital marketing trends, technology and partners
Experience working with live music venues and presenters, ideally with orchestras as part of that experience
Implemented branding campaigns, branding guides and tactical brand deployment
Been part of the release of recorded music, driving audience awareness, consumption, sharing and engagement
A love and deep curiosity about music of varied types and genres
Strong organization skills, who can manage multiple simultaneous projects across varying timelines and time zones
An excellent communicator who can capture Steve Hackman’s voice and represent his audiences’ voice across varied and various platforms
