Director of Production and Technical Services at the Wexner Center for the Arts provides overall leadership, expertise and guidance in the management of all technical services for the center, including supporting Performing Arts, Exhibitions, Film/Video, and public talks and lectures, as well as events in Mershon Auditorium. Responsible for the overall management, communication and workflow for the technical staff including full time, part time and intermittent staff including hiring, training, evaluation and payroll processes. Works with CASE booking team within Mershon Auditorium to prepare for events including understanding the contractual obligations, policies and procedures required for each event. Develop and manage relationships with vendors, contractors, campus units, and others as appropriate for successful implementation and execution of events in all programming areas at the Wexner Center for the Arts. Develop and prioritize capital needs investments for the facility including responsibility for facility's theatrical/technical equipment use, maintenance, and acquisition, preparing operations and maintenance policies, procedures and budgets. Work with senior leadership to develop and analyze technical requirements and costs of programs/events under consideration including equipment, staff needs and other resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in or focus on technical theatre, show management or entertainment production.
5 years of relevant experience required.
Desired Qualifications:
Masters degree in technical theatre, engineering, A/V technologies, facility management, or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in maintenance and operations of an arts facility

The target hiring range for this job profile is $ 64,300 - 84,550The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
