Job Summary
St. Mark’s Episcopal School is a thriving School located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The Middle School is seeing considerable growth and this is a new position as a result of expansion.
Position: Middle School English and Humanities Teacher
Reporting to: Head of Middle School
Qualifications : Minimum bachelor’s degree (in Education preferred), State Certification or Statement of Eligibility preferred.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Plan lessons linked to the curriculum plan.
- Incorporate modern pedagogical approaches into planning.
- Differentiate and individualize instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide opportunities for cross curricular learning opportunities.
- Record student progress.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management.
- Understand and value the importance of a well rounded education.
- Contribute to the school community in a positive way (this includes but is not limited to teaching electives, supervision duties and supporting in “after hour” events such as the Sports Banquet, School Dance etc).
- Support recruitment and re-enrollment efforts
- Maintain respectful and professional communication with parents.
- Uphold Episcopal values and traditions and act as a role model for students at all times.
