The Manager of the Performing Arts Series works in collaboration with the Arts faculty to curate and implement the live event Performing Arts Series (PAS) for Bryn Mawr College; programs and implements three educational classical music events for the Bi-Co Learning to Listen program; and supports the Film Studies academic program for the Tri-Co Film Festival.
The PAS Manager is responsible for researching and contracting with guest artists; ensuring insurance requirements are in place; arranging for payment/s; coordinating on-site logistics for artists for all performing arts programs; arranging for hospitality; and managing transportation for student Learning to Listen trips.
The PAS Manager has general oversight of the annual advertising plan working in conjunction with the College Communications Office on strategies to generate publicity, including ad placements; social media presence; text and images for brochures, flyers, posters, calendars; drafting press releases, etc. The PAS Manager may research and write grants for programs as needed, in consultation with the Chair of the Arts and the Office of Institutional Grants.
The Performing Arts Series is a two-semester program with performances selected from diverse traditions in dance, theater, and music. The primary goals of the Series programs are reach students and faculty/staff in the Tri-College community and attract an audience that includes area residents, arts patrons, and special interest groups from the five-county area including Philadelphia.

REQUIREMENTS
· Four to five years of relevant work experience in administering live arts events. Must have knowledge of performing arts field including knowledge of process to research and engage with artists for live events, and experience with venue requirements.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently, and in close consultation with the Arts faculty and Goodhart Hall technical staff on mission/vision, facility requirements and staffing.
· Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
· Demonstrated tact and diplomacy in working with internal and external contacts.
· The ability to meet deadlines; and to build, work within, and communicate a schedule.
· Experience managing and monitoring a budget.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous professional experience in arts management and program planning is preferred.
· Knowledge of performing arts in a collegiate setting is a plus.
· Experience with grant writing is a plus.
· Nights and weekends are required to direct the PAS events, productions, and performances.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
