The College of Fine Arts seeks an Associate Director for Administrative Operations in the Wheelock Family Theatre. This position is responsible for development and oversight of Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University's (WFT) administrative, finance & operational excellence. Established in 1981, WFT provides affordable and award-winning, professional theatre and theatre arts education to families in the greater Boston area through an unwavering commitment to inclusion, diversity, and access. The Associate Director, working closely with the Executive Director, is responsible for leading ongoing operations in the following areas: finance, budgeting, human resources, administration, and IT. As a liaison between WFT and other University departments, the Associate Director works to further organizational priorities while working within University policies and protocols. The Associate Director is responsible for setting and achieving revenue goals related to WFTs professional productions as well as new forms of business (theater rentals, merchandise, advertising, etc). The Associate Director reports to the Executive Director, with a dotted line to the Associate Dean for Finance and Administration in the College of Fine Arts. The Associate Director supervises one full time exempt staff (Assistant Director of Audience Services).
Required Skills

Bachelor degree required
Experience using MS Excel
Familiarity with events management and ticketing systems a plus

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
