Live Oak School (private, K-8) has an opening for a talented, flexible, and high-energy private music teacher starting in January for in-person instruction. The position is structured as a part-time position depending on the candidate's availability. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and all candidates should have experience teaching music, and rhythm to early elementary students, as well as planning and directing performances. Some experience teaching students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 would be a huge plus, as would familiarity with common ed tech programs and tools.
Core responsibilities include working with our Director of Extended Day Programs to design and deliver an engaging after school music program. The schedule varies but typically includes four classes a day three times each week depending on the term. Additionally, our private music instructor typically supports in coordinating the spring showcase of performances and supports and works cooperatively with our team of private music instructors.
Finally, candidates should be highly responsible and friendly people who work well with others and can communicate clearly and appropriately with colleagues and school parents.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
