The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching Advanced Placement (AP) level English courses, coaching students in writing, and leading theater instruction. The candidate must have experience working with students with diverse needs and be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as a student advisor and dorm supervisor. Key Responsibilities: ? Teach high school English classes, including AP-level coursework. ? Develop and lead theater and performance-based classes and productions. ? Coach students in writing across various formats, supporting both academic and creative writing skills. ? Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and needs. ? Serve as a student advisor and fulfill dorm supervisor duties as required. ? Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with NYMA’s academic standards. ? Participate in curriculum development, faculty meetings, and school events. ? Foster an inclusive, respectful, and positive classroom environment that promotes student growth and engagement. Qualifications: ? Master’s degree in English, Theater, or a related field (required). ? Teaching certification (preferred). ? Experience teaching AP-level courses and working in theater education. ? Proven ability to coach students in writing and support them in developing advanced writing skills. ? Demonstrated experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs. ? Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. ? Willingness to take on extra duties as a student advisor and dorm supervisor.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
