The School of Performing Arts at Ouachita Baptist University invites applications for a full-time, residential position in Music Industry to begin August 2025. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent teaching in the context of a liberal arts education; a collegial commitment to professional, university, departmental, and community service; and a Christian commitment consistent with the university’s vision, mission, values, and statement of faith. Primary responsibilities will include teaching Music Industry courses and other courses within the School of Performing Arts. A Master’s degree in Music or equivalent professional experience is essential. Priority will be given to those who have extensive professional accomplishments in music industry, a terminal degree, and experience in instruction. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications.

Ouachita Baptist University, a private liberal arts university in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, is entering its 138th year as a Christ-centered learning community. Ouachita continues to experience considerable institutional momentum, reporting its highest enrollment in 57 years with a Fall 2023 total headcount of 1,815 as well as a 99% job or grad school placement rate within six months of graduation.
Residential undergraduate enrollment is 1,581, and there are 81 students enrolled in Ouachita’s six graduate programs – more than doubling the number who enrolled when graduate programs were reintroduced in 2020. Of last year’s freshmen, 83% returned for their sophomore year – a retention rate 22% higher than the average most recently reported for all 4-year colleges and universities in Arkansas. Among this year’s 469 first-time freshmen, there are two National Merit finalists and 33 Arkansas Governor’s Distinguished Scholars. The cohort earned a collective high school grade point average of 3.8 out of 4.000; almost half earned a high school GPA of 4.0 or higher.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
