The successful candidate will teach assigned classes at the undergraduate level in beginning to advanced levels of acting practice, acting for the camera, and audition techniques/career preparation. In addition, the successful applicant would have secondary areas of expertise in two or more of the following: integrated voice and movement, movement for actors, stage combat, voice and speech, voiceover work, and/or directing.
In addition to classroom teaching, opportunities may exist for the candidate to contribute as a stage director in the production season and/or as the annual B.F.A. senior showcase. Faculty participate in department life by auditioning prospective students, advising majors, and serving on committees in shared governance. Ongoing scholarly, creative, and professional activity will be expected and supported.

A terminal degree in an appropriate or related discipline (such as an M.F.A. in acting, performance, or directing) and a record of professional activity in film and television performance is required. Demonstrable potential for successful college-level teaching within the context of an interdisciplinary and immersive liberal arts education is preferred.
About Us: The Ithaca College Center for Theatre and Dance, housed within the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, combines conservatory style training with a broad education in the liberal arts. Degree programs include four B.F.A. pre-professional programs (acting, musical theatre, stage management, and theatre production & design), a B.S. in theatre administration, a B.A. in theatre studies, and minors in Theater or Dance.
