Boston University's Department of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance is looking for a Manager of Member Services to aid in the supervision and operation of the Fitness and Recreation Center's over $1.7 million membership program, including administration, member engagement and sales/promotion. This position is frontline, overseeing the member experience, including, but not limited to: billing, renewals, reporting and correspondence, giving tours to prospective members, serving as point person for new membership sales, ensuring ongoing exceptional member service, planning/executing membership communications and conducting potential member outreach programs and presentations. Responsible for the administration and advisement of the services and operations at the Member Services Desk, the Pro Shop, Track & Tennis Center and Community Skate Program to promote consistent quality member experience. Serves as Power User on Departmental Management Software team and liaison to IS&T for data imports and permissions relating to member access. Supervises Assistant Manager of Facilities and Graduate Assistant.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, with a master's degree preferred.
Three to five years of experience in recreation, membership sales or related field.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve pre- defined goals/results.
Advanced computer/technical skills in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of SAP and Vermont Systems preferred.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
