Krannert Center for the Performing Arts is looking for two Assembly Hall Attendants to plan, set up and strike materials before, during, and after public events and conventions. This position is also responsible for providing event support, coordinating of catering services for performers, snow removal, housekeeping, cleaning, security (unlock and lock rooms and building, set alarm system), moving pianos and other related activities.
Assembly Hall Attendants communicate and coordinate their responsibilities with the Facilities Manager, other Assembly Hall Attendants, extra-help workers, electrician, and building operations engineer through daily interaction and / or e-mail.
Duties & Responsibilities
Performs housekeeping and specialized cleaning.
Remove trash throughout the building.
Clean restrooms, dressing rooms, and waiting rooms and all theaters.
Mop, scrub, sweep, wax, renovate, wash interior and exterior surfaces.
Event and Performance Preparation and Breakdown.
Unlock waiting rooms, classrooms and rehearsal rooms.
Secure classrooms and rehearsal spaces after each event.
Setup and tear down risers and platform devices after the event(s).
Plans, coordinates, implements, and set up academic, catering and performance events.
Assist with truck loading and unloading.
Maintenance.
Coordinate necessary maintenance of equipment and materials in an efficient and secure manner.
Unlock and remove exterior fire blocks.
Check exterior lighting and report findings of damage items.
Monitor and track inventory.
Remove and shovel snow during winter conditions.
Provide the conversion and maintenance of facilities and equipment such as the CFR (carpet cleaning machine) and power scrubber in a large multi-purpose building such as the Krannert Center.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability and willingness to work as directed and to follow instructions.
Ability to work well with others in the building.
Ability to start and stop and return to projects.
Ability and willingness to work varying and unusual work schedules.
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Manual dexterity.

Wednesday - Saturday 4:00p - 2:00am Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time, overtime eligible, Civil Service 0500 - Assembly Hall Attendant position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 11/4/2024. This position is a part of the Local 399 union. Pay has been negotiated to start at $22.61/hr with a scheduled increase after 12 months.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
