Job Description Summary:
Oakland University, School of Music, Theatre and Dance, invites applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Music Technology position to join our music faculty in a growing program, beginning August 15, 2025. Primary responsibilities: teach general education and undergraduate music major courses in music technology and music composition. Potential course load: Computer-based Music Composition (gen-ed; online), Creative Composition I & II (music tech major; online), Music Technology I & II (music tech major), Interactive Computer Music, Senior Projects in Music Technology, Music Technology Internship, and serving as coordinator of our music technology program along with other possible teaching duties as assigned. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue growth and visibility in their career, while maintaining a strong commitment to teaching, recruiting/retention, and service to the field.

Minimum Qualifications:
Terminal degree in music technology, composition, or related field. ABD considered if completed by August 15, 2025.
