Viewpoint School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school serving 1,200 students in grades TK-12. Viewpoint School is currently seeking a temporary full time string teacher to cover a 4 to 6 week (8 hours per day) leave of absence this fall. Viewpoint School has a vibrant and comprehensive strings program that goes from 1st to 12th grade. Our Middle and Upper School Orchestras have won many awards at Festivals throughout the years. The string teachers work together as a team to help our students be as successful as possible. 

Ideally this person would be a cellist with a strong music education background, have a basic knowledge of the Suzuki method and the ability to teach all string instruments at a foundational level. Some classes/lessons meet before and after school. During the school day, this individual will assist the other string teachers with their classes by helping to tune, lead sectionals, provide small group instruction and support the other string teachers.
