Harvard-Westlake School is seeking candidates for the position of Middle School Theater Technician. This is a part-time, hourly position through June 2025.
Responsibilities include:
Working, under the supervision of the technical director, as a sound and/or lighting technician during performing arts events in both the 840-seat Saperstein Theater and the 100-seat Katzenberg Blackbox Theater
Providing support as needed for school-wide functions, such as guest speakers, parent events, and administrative events.
Assist in managing student crews during productions.

Schedule: This is a part-time position, working as needed for each production. The work schedule will be set with the Technical Director. Rehearsals are typically from 3:15 pm - 5:30 pm (until 7:00 pm for some dress rehearsals) on weekdays, and occasionally 10:00 am - 3:00 pm on Saturdays. Approximately 10-15 hours per week can be anticipated depending on the production and event schedule. This position will begin as soon as possible.
Compensation:
Anticipated compensation for this position term is between $32-$40 per hour based on experience.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
