The primary purpose of this position is to provide office assistance to the School Director, Director of Graduate Studies and Director of Undergraduate Studies as the Admissions Coordinator for both Undergraduate and Graduate programs as well as handling Graduate Student Services.
Responsibilities include: Admissions (Undergraduate and Graduate)
? Coordinate and execute School of Music Recruitment events, including but not limited to School of Music Open Houses, School of Music participation in campus Open Houses, School of Music Audition Days, and Admitted Spartan Days
? Coordinate consistent and timely Admissions communication between prospective BM, MM, PBC, DMA, PhD students, their families, and employees from UNCG and the School of Music
Provide outstanding support and communication for prospective students and families
Advocate to campus undergraduate Admissions IT team and the Graduate School regarding School of Music application processes
Send results letters to all students after completion of their Audition
? Coordinate pre-auditions for DMA and MM applicants
? Coordinate Slate software operations for the School of Music
? Provide software support to faculty through instructional manuals and troubleshooting
? Collaborate with College of Visual and Performing Arts and campus admissions staff
? Serve on College of Visual and Performing Arts Recruitment committee
? Manage and supervise student employees
Graduate Student Services
? Provide outstanding support for all graduate students, the Director of Graduate Studies, graduate faculty & staff in the School of Music
? Manage student paperwork relating to progress toward completion of degree for all current graduate students in the School of Music
? Assist in registration for graduate students
? Maintain database of prospective and enrolled student records and files, both physically and digitally
? Serve as a resource for faculty and students regarding policy and procedure for graduate students in the doctoral, masters, and certificate programs in the School of Music
? Perform Graduate Student degree audits to ensure all paperwork is current
? Update handbooks and forms in collaboration with Graduate Student Council
? Coordinate communication with students, committee chairs, and campus Graduate School
Prepare and maintain numerous forms (plan of study, revision forms, comprehensive examination forms, final oral defense forms, formal prospectus, Dissertation approval forms) for review by the School of Music Director of Graduate Studies
Liaison for all paperwork that is submitted between School of Music and Graduate School, ensuring that campus Graduate school policies are enforced
? Schedule Comprehensive examinations and prepare/administer examination materials
? Facilitate supervisor evaluations of all Graduate Assistants
? Other administrative duties as assigned by School Director and Director of Graduate Studies

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
