The Scenic Charge Artist is responsible for providing creative direction and oversight in the techniques for painting and finishing of all scenery for the Department of Theatre, Film & Media Arts productions; ensures that the work performed in the Scenic Studio is executed professionally, efficiently, and safely according to prescribed industry and institutional standards and departmental policy; assists in bringing to life the Set Designer and Directors vision/concept by overseeing the painting process for all painting techniques and finishes such as wet blending, lining techniques, and faux finishes.
