Currey Ingram Academy Middle School is currently accepting applications for a full-time Music teacher for an immediate start. Responsibilities will include teaching music classes (general music, band, and music technology) to students in grades 5-8, and leading an advisory group. Music includes studies in music appreciation and instrumental instruction (including but not limited to music theory, note reading, rhythm studies). As an advisor, the teacher will work with students to promote strategies for academic success, monitor Individual Learning Plan goals, and attend parent conferences. Other responsibilities include directing two annual music programs and the talent show for grades 5-8. Candidates should hold a degree in Music and/or Special Education.
