Youth Orchestra Conductor
The Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra (CYMO), founded by in 1989, is comprised of 90 musicians, ages 12 to 20, who attend public and private schools in Southern California. The CYMO presents major symphonic works and soloists in concert each year at Bridges Hall of Music on the Pomona College campus. Other venues include Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Disneyland, and various venues in Europe. The orchestra provides special concerts for children, community programs, and chamber music performances. The CYMO repertoire is expansive and includes works by Tchaikovsky, Hindemith, Copland, Britten, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Borodin, Mahler, Shostakovich, Leonard Bernstein, John Adams and more.
