Adjunct or part time teaching assignments include in person, online, hybrid, or video conferencing formats not only on Massasoit's Brockton and Canton campuses, but also in local high schools or as part of our on campus early college courses. Professors work collaboratively to create a learner centered environment focused on student learning and success. Teaching approaches are expected to include active and collaborative techniques and real-world applications related to digital music.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Create a community of learners
Plan and implement active and collaborative learning and assessment
Provide consistent feedback
Evaluate achievement
Assign grades
Maintain student records of attendance, participation, grades, etc.
Focuses on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions.
Additional responsibilities:
Participate in instructional development and orientation, department, early college, and college wide activities.

Adjunct Faculty are part time instructors hired on an as needed basis. Positions may consist of day, night, or weekend positions and may be in Brockton, Canton, Middleborough, or any other instructional site.
Please note: Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment. Qualified applicants will be contacted by the academic department.
Job Requirements:
A Master's degree in a field related to digital music
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body
Previous teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the college level
Ability to work collaboratively with the media arts program
Additional Information: Position Status: MCCC/MTA position
Supervisor: Dean of Humanities and Communication Arts
Semester: Academic Year Fall 2024 and Spring 2025
Salary: $1,397.00 per credit with additional compensation for courses with a laboratory component, consistent with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement. *If hired for the position mid-semester, the salary will be pro-rated based on the number of weeks left in the semester.
Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
