Staten Island Academy seeks applicants for the position of 2-D Art Teacher. A bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts is required and a master’s degree is strongly preferred. Candidates must be able to teach students in grades 3 through 12. The position includes Foundations of Art classes up through our Advanced 2-D Studio class. Ideal candidates will have three to five years of teaching, strong drawing and painting skills and a demonstrated passion for working with and teaching young artists.  The candidate will need to have the ability to manage all aspects of a visual arts classroom including maintaining art materials, budget, equipment and room space as well as various visual arts displays on campus.  The position also includes assisting with scenic painting for the schools’ theater progra
