Position Summary The Development Director serves as the Symphony’s principal fundraising strategist, partnering with the Executive Director to develop, manage, and implement a comprehensive and varied fundraising program. The Berkeley Symphony’s annual income budget is approximately $1.5 million, of which $900K–$1M comes in as contributed income through the Development office. To achieve this income goal, the Development Director oversees a range of programs including annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, special events, and corporate, government, and foundation giving.
