Music and the Brain (MATB, a program of the nonprofit Building for the Arts NY, Inc.) provides a school-day, general music curriculum using whole-class piano instruction. Aligned with National Core Arts Standards, MATB provides sequential K-8+ music lessons, ongoing music educator support, piano/keyboard labs, physical and digital teaching materials, and an award-winning web-based platform for digital inclusion. Music and the Brain’s web platform offers educator and student accounts for access anytime and anywhere. We provide extensive PD support for the schools’ music teachers to conduct weekly MATB lessons that help students improve fine motor, social, emotional, critical, and creative thinking skills with Music and the Brain. Following a robust 2023 impact evaluation from Colu
