The Kansas City Symphony is seeking multiple Assistant Conductors to work under incoming Music Director Matthias Pintscher in the 2024-25 season. The role of Assistant Conductor serves as cover conductor on a portion of the orchestra’s classical programs, and also leads the orchestra in certain education, family and community programs. The duties and responsibilities of this role will be divided between up to three individuals, overseen and managed by the Artistic Administrator. The Kansas City Symphony performs 14 classical concerts plus an annual Messiah week every year. There are four family concerts and a variety of education programs as well. This portfolio will be assigned between the Assistant Conductors by week or performance type, according to availability and the needs
