Glenelg Country School is currently accepting applications for Assistant Summer Camp Counselors to join our SummerintheCountry program. Located in Ellicott City, Maryland, our school provides a range of camps for children from pre-kindergarten to tenth grade. Our camps cover various interests, including STEM, sports, arts, basketball, cooking, adventure, nature, music, sewing, writing, chess, and more.
TheSummerintheCountry camps will be running from June 17, 2024, to July 26, 2024, Monday to Friday. Assistant counselors will have the opportunity to work 35 hours per week, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with the possibility of additional hours in Before or After Care. Please note that the camp will be closed on June 19 and July 4, 2024, due to holidays.
Assistant counselors are expected to engage thoughtfully with children and assist lead counselors in supervising students. Their responsibilities include providing care, leading activities, and organizing games. Candidates must be available for at least three weeks of the six-week session. Preference will be given to those with prior experience working with children. All candidates must be at least 16 years old.
