The Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (CSEE) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) invites applications for multiple open rank, tenured/tenure-track positions across all areas of Computer and Electrical Engineering including but not limited to VLSI/ASIC/FPGA, hardware security and trust, neural computation device and circuits, intelligent autonomous systems, semiconductor, photonic-integrated-circuits, nanotechnology, signal processing and sensing systems, 5G/6G wireless systems and biomedical engineering. Applicants should have or be completing a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, have a strong research record with the potential to develop a funded research program, have a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, and have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence. Candidates will be expected to build and lead a team of student researchers, obtain external research support, and teach both graduate and undergraduate courses.

The CSEE department is research-oriented and multi-disciplinary with programs in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, and Cybersecurity. Our diverse faculty (46 tenure-track, 23 teaching, and 7 research) enjoy collaboration, working across our specializations as well as with colleagues from other STEM, humanities and the arts departments, and external partners. We have more than 2,000 undergraduate CS and CE majors and more than 1200 graduate students in our CS, CE, EE, Data Science, and Cybersecurity graduate programs. We have awarded 415 Ph.D. degrees since our establishment in 1986. Our research is supported by a growing and diverse portfolio from government and industrial sponsors with around $8M in yearly research expenditures. The College of Engineering and Information Technology (COEIT) at UMBC crosses the boundaries of engineering, computing, and information disciplines to develop research and educational programs that engage faculty, students, and staff from all the disciplines. Salary Salary ranges commensurate with experience.
Assistant Professor: Min. $110,000 - Max. $130,000
Associate Professor: Min. $135,000 - Max. $155,000
Full Professor: Min. $155,000 - Max. $180,000
Other components of pay are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
